The 16th of July is Artificial Intelligence Appreciation Day – a phenomenon that has exploded onto the scene in recent years and shows no signs of slowing down.
But what does it mean to appreciate something like AI?
There are many anxieties and uncertainties surrounding AI at the moment, and while there has been a mass adoption of this technology by many trusted companies, the uncertainty persists.
Appreciating AI means accepting and feeling grateful for the value that AI has so far shown us. It is being open to future possibilities and ways AI can help us further.
Therefore, it is important to be open to advancements and capabilities when they arise. AI is designed to help, after all. Rather than being a threat to job security, AI can take over aspects of work which can be repetitive, meaning energy can be better spent on more meaningful tasks.
Trade Interchange’s ARCUS® software has embraced and featured AI as an integral part of its offering since 2019, and this AI inclusion has empowered users to complete work faster, more efficiently, and to a higher standard of accuracy.
ARCUS® employs AI within it’s Supplier Information Management module in order to aid efficiency throughout the process of supplier on-boarding. Our AI scans documents such as insurance documents and supplier certifications at the point of upload in order to check them for validity. Any discrepancies are flagged for the relevant person to review, reducing manual workloads significantly.
This was only the beginning of our journey with AI. We are now constantly looking to improve and expand our AI offering with our in-house development team working hard behind the scenes to bring even more value and helpful tools to our customers.
